Here's what Microsoft needs to do for the Xbox one to be a big seller in japan: support media files and allow you to talk to Kinect to do voice commands for video files like: "xbox, play back to the future video." And maybe has a built in cortana. Microsoft could have a chance.

Not only do japanese don't give a damn about home consoles anymore, but the 360 had Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Magna Carta 2, Star Ocean 4... all exclusives (for quite a while). Didn't do crap for the system.
