They did the same with the 360 and see how that ended.

Prediction; this will be the worst console generation in Japan in two decades. In other words; I highly disagree.
Here's what Microsoft needs to do for the Xbox one to be a big seller in japan: support media files and allow you to talk to Kinect to do voice commands for video files like: "xbox, play back to the future video." And maybe has a built in cortana. Microsoft could have a chance.
I'm between "no" and "not a chance in hell" for this one. Not only do japanese don't give a damn about home consoles anymore, but the 360 had Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Magna Carta 2, Star Ocean 4... all exclusives (for quite a while). Didn't do crap for the system.
So in an era of decline for home consoles in Japan somehow Xb one is meant to potentially double 360's sales in Japan?
Nothing's impossible I guess, but this is highly improbable.

Is it even considered a prediction if you use the word "can?"
C'mon...stick to your guns, man. Say what you mean with conviction. Let's see that thread title changed to "will"!
they need to make a more games targeted to the japanese market. also something like Blue Dragon needs to become a series.. like Dragon Quest
This would be the biggest plot twist in the history of video games if Japan really is waiting for the Xbox One and everyone in the world is proven wrong lmao
