Forums - Gaming Discussion - BOLD Prediction: Wii U > Xbox One lifetime sales in Japan!

After taking a look at the Xbox 360 sales I noticed that Japan is extremely hostile towards the Xbox brand. However, the Xbox One is an all in one device and is brought to us by the incredible Kinect. This opens up the possibilites for the Xbox brand to step up their game in Japan if they release "key titles" that make use of the Kinect. I'll leave the "key titles" to your imagination, but if Microsoft plays their cards right, these "key titles" could make the Xbox One big in Japan.

However I predict that this isn't going to happen. I not only predict that the Xbox One will be under the Wii U in lifetime sales (thanks to the lack of "key titles" and general hostility that japanese gamers have towards the Xbox brand), but I also predict that the Xbox One will sell less than the original Xbox 360 in Japan. The Xbox One might settle at 1.3M once all is said and done.

PS: I passed my maths exam yesterday, so I am more than qualified to do these "predictions". So please, no more comments in the vein of: "Another prediction with little to no thought behind it."

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise

I think more Japanese people will buy "Super Mario on Rii U" than "Haro 5 on Xbox" because it appeals more to those people. That is why your prediction is logical.
