I know the series gets a lot of hate these days, but CoD4 deserves a very, very high spot. Classes, perks, killstreaks, ranking was so big for the shooter genre. It should probably end up as the highest FPS.

Agreed. They pretty much set the standard for every FPS that came out after it.

How exactly can Need for Speed be better than Assassins Creed ? Flower better than Demon's Souls ? These "Top X" lists never made any sense to me.

Just a question: who makes this list? Just 1 person, or are opinions from a lot of persons put together?

Yeah, their list seems to lack a fixed criteria, that's my problem with it. I never know if they're ranking their games by personal opinions, or impact on the industry, importance, objective analysis of the games (or as objective as you can be on this case)...

Their top 100 rpgs puts the first FF above FFX, for example. And there are cases where a game that got a 9 or 10 from them is below one that got an 8, for example.

It's a list made of opinions, don't know why so much whining about that list.

They gave skyward sword a 10 and its below... blackops (for example). Seriously? You, know, i have seen some of igns top games of all time lists, and they seem to do a much better job with those.
