It will give a big boost, but a short boost, not increase the sales on a regular basis.

You dont believe in WiiU, give it some of your Vita support!!! :P

LOL at your sign xD 145K in Japan by they way, not globally.

Now, I think I agree with you spurgeonryan, the game looks cool and all but there's something wrong with the tracks... they feel boring, I don't know. And not many people aside from traditional players seem to be talking about it either. I highly doubt the game will boost the Wii U like many people claim. 100K hardware units sold globally during the first week (even if the console has that luck) and then back to the 40-50K in the second week.

Must not have played Mario Kart 64 then! I don't know what you're feeling, but I assure you Mario Kart 8's tracks are far from boring!

I don't know, they don't look like Double Dash and Mario Kart DS tracks. Now that you mention Mario Kart 64, I actually love many of its levels, like the Wario Stadium or whatever, Donkey Kong Jungle, the freeway... Mario Kart 8 tracks don't look like that, they are just bland tracks divided in three parts.

You must be insane or something! It's a good thing that Mario Kart 8 doesn't look like that, because Mario Kart 8 looks 100x better than any previous Mario Kart game, and not just because of it's higher polygon count but also the massive amounts of detail, especially on the tracks! I mean I shouldn't even have to explain this! Anyone with eyes can tell you that Toad's Turnpike, Rainbow Road, Tick Tock Clock, Sherbet Land, etc. look a million times better in Mario Kart 8!

I hope people go crazy over it! But why should I have to dig through the levels just to find the right situation for it to be amazing? Shouldn't each track give me that same sence of awe as the other?

I hope it is the savior, but other than amazing reviews, luke warm hype at these events, and my own personal experience have not made me a believer.

There are more Wii U owners now and people who want a Wii U since those other events. Things should be busier.

No one track is ever gonna please everyone, hence why it's the variety of tracks as a whole that matters, and Mario Kart 8 definitely has a wide variety! Also your reasoning for not liking those tracks is very silly considering it's not even a gameplay issue, and it shoulda been obvious that not every track was gonna use anti-gravity the same as others. Plus, seeing the gravity defying stuff is what Mario Kart TV is for!

And no, Mario Kart 8 will not be the savior, but we knew that already!

Completly agree. MK64 tracks are very good and some of them epic. Wario Stadium, Bowser Castle, Toad's Turnpike (extra mode was godly), Yoshi Valley, Choco Mountain, Sherbet Land. Pure fun that game.

MK8 tracks looks bland and boring.

Interesting, you gave MK8 the same score as Ultimate Spiderman 2?

Two different games. I have had no real problem yet, its my first spudey game in years and is open world.

I will make Spiderman 2 my game for june.

Maybe a Titanfall effect but on a lesser scale.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I give my demo play a 7/10.

I am OUTRAGED this is not at least a 9/10!

Yeah, it deserved at least a 9.5, despite I haven't played it.

Does the game look beautiful? Absolutely. Do the tracks look fun? No, that's all what I say.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
