People are still waiting for their Halo, Uncharted, Gears of War, God of War, Kingdom Hearts, whatever that's popular on consoles, etc. Not everyone is gonna rush out and get their new consoles right away.

As long as companies continue to make games for previous gen consoles, they're giving little reason to move forward to new consoles. Unless... backwards compatibility was a thing for these next gen consoles.

or play the old games i never played. there are lots and lots of games people didnt play, why we have to play recent games?

I have a ridiculously large backlog, so I'll be pretty good for a while. After that.. I dunno read a book or something?

Stick to retro gaming, continue with my second favorite hobby which is gardening. Play my (fairly huge) backlog of games.

I'd purchase a beefy CPU and emulate on an HD TV. I'd then buy four Xbox One controllers (they're not compatible with PCs yet, but they will be). As of now you can get emulators all the way up to PS3, 360, and Wii.

I would want to go retro, but with a dead gaming market consoles would be in high demand. In fact I'd probably sell my consoles to get the funds for the CPU.

Play the backlog amount of games that I have.

I'll keep playing, and collecting games and consoles. Remembering the good ol' times.
