Microsoft wins from the get-go, because Nintendo hasn't done a damn thing!

So Ninty's plan has been failing and its a good thing to stick to it? sounds about right. |
until the end of this gen yes.
MS is fighting tooth and nails to regain marketshare at least in their home territory by making any and all sensible decisions. The caveat to this is that MS shouldn't have made these blunders in the first place. All the decisions that were made for the Xbone just made you shake your head in disbelief at how misguided they could be.
Nintendo on the other hand has done nothing but acknowledge that the Wii U is a failure equal to the GC, if not worse. Just look at their sales projections. That being said, Nintendo's problems aren't exactly that easy to fix. Producing another Wii will be a ridiculously difficult feat and it is questionable whether Nintendo can even recreate that kind of success anytime soon.
All that being said, I'll go with MS because they've done a lot to turn the Xbone around.
Nintendo: Less delays, better games, (Starting with Mario Kart 8) better deals (MK8 bundle, WWHD bundle, NSMB bundle)
Microsoft: No Kinect/Price drop/Spying Kinect, fixed DRM and always online.
Winner: Microsoft
