If a developer believes that people who will buy the console without Kinect would have bought their Kinect game I have to laugh at them. If someone doesn't want to spend 100 bucks more for Kinect, he surely doesn't want to use Kinect and even if he would own it, he wouldn't touch this Kinect game.

Best were the Harmonix guys who weren't really happy. Their game was supposed to be a launch title with a very tiny userbase and now they are pissed because when their game will finally release, only maybe 5 of 6 million consoles will have Kinect?

nope. it wouldnt make much sense since it wasnt used much anyways and no reason to have to have one now or later other than for like 2 or 3 games which is nothing in the scope of things. its early enough to not matter.

They can be as pissed as they want but the install base is already too big to ignore and not support the platform.

But its too small to effectively be moneyhatted which is the real issue now. Where all companies have equal access to multiplats its a toss up between Sony and Nintendo, favoring Sony because of their lagging infrastructure. XB with only exclusives resembles the OG Xbox, then again that is my favorite MS console so far.

And Nintendo doesn't have a lot of Multiplat support.

There's still a lot of solid growing potential with the X1. And let's wait for this E3 if they still manage to moneyhat big 3rd party devs.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

No. I'm sure the industry is glad MS is reacting and trying to get boxes in peoples homes. That's all they care about.

Hmm, how does that make any sense? It would only be...

Most probably.

They pissed off Dance Central and that's about it.

Yet another joke thread today.

Regarding your first reason, that would be one for the industry to be mad at Sony. As for your second one, nobody was working on Kinect games, so the removal of mandatory Kinect is a positive thing.

Harmonix and Rare were truly heartbroken when the Kinect was removed.

This concludes our list.

I dont think so.

SEGA dropped a system they could perfectly kept supporting for more years (The saturn). They disappointed publishers and customers.

Microsoft just pissed off the early adopters a bit. Maybe they annoyed a few publishers a bit, but i'm sure they understand that it benefits them more in the long run.

even if MS pissed of the industry who cares? The industry should know its place. For to long have the big 3 publishers had to much influence and the result is the whole industry going down the pooper.

Lets hope EA and Activision one day are bought by better companies or just die.

I assume than when MS negotiates an exclusivity deal, they show or discuss about their sale predictions, about the better profitability offered by DRM, they talk about how Kinect is the DNA of the console. And everything changes. That should be piss a lot the studios.

But what is different with Saturn is that the Xbox One is not gonna die,you can still achieve profitability, and that you can go multi-platform a lot more easily.
