The highlight of our fiscal year was the worldwide launch of Grand Theft Auto V. This extraordinarily title which received more than 300 perfect scores illustrates Rockstar Games unmatched ability to deliver creative excellence. Grand Theft Auto V has been a commercial blockbuster that shattered numerous entertainment industry records. To-date the title is sold in more than 33 million units worldwide, and continues to attract new fans.

NBA 2K14 was our first next-generation title, and already has surpassed NBA 2K13 as the top performing release in the franchises' history with sell-in of more than 6.5 million units to-date.

Our fiscal 2014 results also benefited from the successful launch of WWE 2K14 and continuing demand for Grand Theft Auto IV, BioShock Infinite, which is now sold in more than 6 million units, and offerings for Sid Meier's Civilization V. The February release of Civilization V, a complete edition marked the final offering for this title which is sold in over 5 million units and it's supported by two critically claimed expansion packs along with the selection of downloadable content. The civilization franchise will move forward this fall with the launch of Civilization: Beyond Earth.

Borderlands 2, which launched in September 2012, continue to be a significant contributor to our results. The title was the top selling release in history of 2K with over 9 million units sold in to-date.

The Borderlands franchise is looking pretty damned strong right now. That's elite territory for a game with no competitive multi-player. The two upcoming games won't be at the same level, obviously, but they'll keep the IP moving forward. Borderlands 3 will be big.

Are these games shipped or sold? There's a massive gap between take 2's data and Vgchartz! Almost 4 million in Borderland 2's case! While digital sales are not included here there's no way it sold 4mill's worth.

And if the sales data is true then why on earth hasn't vgchartz adapted to this massively important sales data? As we know with music digital sales they are higher than retail sales in most cases. This information is crucial and can make or break how a game is perceived by the public, which in turn generates positive or negative opinion in relation to making a decision to buy a game.
