Because they are the only 2 regions where the xbone has hope of beating the PS4.

Similar to all the 360 owners only play shooters so they got a lock on American dude bro gun beer chugging and gun slinnging assholes.  Anyways, I think human nature tends to make us think things will remain the same. In this case, sales will remain the same ,when truly it probably will look a lot differenty than last gen.

There is no rational other than last generation. The Xbox had a year head start so of course it kept its lead over a more expensive console after tons of price drops, multiple people buying consoles cause the 360 kept breaking and their biggest fanbase being in the US. Nothing is a lock and I doubt the X1 sells more anywhere. It;s not as popular as it was last generation.Too many different variables.

People often forget how little brand loyalty means when it comes to console gaming in the US. Can XBO win the US? Sure, it's got about the same shot as the PS4 now. But to say that it's "obvious" or "locked down" is just short-sighted.

I think at this point UK and USA are too close to call. I'm actually surprised at how well xb one has sold in USA and UK given its disadvantages. Now with kinectlessness the only disadvantage is power under the hood, and aside from serious game geeks like some of us raw power probably isn't much of a factor. So with the elimination of a $100 millstone Xb one has renewed potential.
