This is why I stick with PlayStation. All MS does is copy Sony, so why not stick with the original? Xbox has always been a poor man's PlayStation.

Moderated,

You definitely mentioned it in your post. And I'm not sure how you misconstrued that post as 'crying'

I said having a single account where you login anywhere and all your stuff (i.e. content you purchased) is there, like google, is what Nintendo should do. I didn't say anything about joining disparate applications together. I was referring to content you purchase and should be able to utilize across Nintendo hardware.

I said crying as I've heard that type of whining about youtube/google accounts before. Especially right after it was all merged. Never understood the issue. You had a choice to merge or keep separate and you can always create another Google account, they're free.

Turn around would mean the Xbox One would become the number 1 selling system. I do not see how that is possible even with a $100 price cut.

The generation is young. Noone expected 360 to get over 50m. We just have to wait and see what happens in the next 5-6 years

It's one thing to sell 50M - it's another to sell more than a PS console.

LOL So they didnt follow Sony on the DRM Policies? The dropping of third party app usage from Xbox Live? The price point? Creating Games for Gold because of the value Playstation Plus brings to gamers?

Oh wait no. Of course you have to cut Sony down even though they are actually helping the cause of the xbox gamer by helping show Microsoft how to please gamers. I tell you if Sony ever died you guys would see what the world would be like with just Microsoft running shit against Nintendo. It would be the least creative times ever and would there would be so much nickel and diming it wouldnt even be funny. Without Sony to teach them right from wrong, this gen could've been such a monsterious fail for Microsoft even for the most ardent Xbox believer.

How quickly you seem to forget Sony's attitude in the beginning of last generation. MS coming into the console race did a lot for gamers. Options give real gamers more choices and competition is great for innovation and value. You should really start considering that.

And yet just days ago Sony was busted trying to lock SP downloaded content behind a paywall. Maybe one day you'll understand all these are companies, none are worth getting emotionally attached to, and all would love to find ways to squeeze every last penny they can out of you.

As for the article, idk, does it ever mention anything they "use from Sony" aside from not locking subscription services behind a paywall? Because plenty of devices did that long before PS3.

Sony is thinking like Microsoft. Dangle a carrot and the people will pay you to get what they want. I bitched about PSN Plus but eventually I got used to Sony (like Microsoft)having to use payment tactics to survive. They didnt copy MS but they redefined what it meant to have a premium service. If they truly copied MS then PSN Plus would be Xbox Live.

Even IGN wrote an article admitting just recently that Microsoft is using Sonys playbook to beat them. Its the same thing with the 360. Microsoft learned from Sony in the first generations that amassing third party is the key to success.

Sony took a risk to save a format and allow their Blu Ray board to profit. Blu Rays rate was in their hands and they took the dive. I am sure they are recieving some sort of compensation for not only being the lead group for it but spear heading the initiative. The PS3 did the work and Samsung and all the other brands rode on the wave.

Microsofts intro into the console race only brought PC gaming to consoles. Microsoft hasnt made a game themselves that was worth a damn outside of Crackdown, Fable, Forza and Project Gotham. Halo would've existed without them, Gears would've existed without them and PC games were already starting to make their way to console gaming since the PS1/N64 era. Microsoft taught Sony and Sega how to create what they've always been wanting to create for years. A online gaming os thats closed and unified to create a community. Thats Microsofts claim to fame...OS software. They were doing that for Sega before they even joined the industry.

Sony made them squirm because they threatend the PC market with the PS1. Outside of the online respect, Microsoft is trying to basically replace everything that makes Sony what they are in front of the western gamer. Problem is they are extremely dependent on third party to accomplish this.

Pretty sure you know that is not the point.

It's very clear that MS is playing catch-up by aping Sony the same way Sony was copying MS last gen.

Sony learnt a bitter lesson by taken their customer base for granted. MS has learnt the same, but thankfully their mistake are not as costly as Sony and they corrected them much faster.

Sony must be feeling flattered.

How cute. Sony is losing money on their TV business not PS4. I hope you know MS isn't making their money from Xbox. Tallying the losses and profits from 2001 to now, MS hasn't made a dime on Xbox. Their moneymaker is Windows. Shout that from the mountain tops....
