I could care less about the TV functions so the $399 is a good deal for me

It has the same value proposition over PS4 that X360 had over PS3... none. There is a reason PS3 always outsold it and if it were not for the year head start would have handidly beat X360 just as PS4 is doing now to Xbone.
You have to look at what MS has always pushed... its other entertainment options. MS recognizes that the game lineup is almost identical with Sony having the edge due to more popular 1st party titles. So the only thing it really has is price or other entertainment options.
X360 was helped due to largely always having a much smaller price. Xbone doesn't have that so they better drum up some great selling points on that entertainment option or buy some big exclusives NA/EU will want.

I don't understand why people list exclusive series as reasons to purchase one system over another. Its a matter of subjective preference that's practically useless when evaluated decision that apply to others.
For instance out of that list, only 3 of those series truly intrest me, and only one of them hasn't been butchered in their latest iterations.
Games mean nothing. The chance of me liking a game in a series vs a series that I never tried before is broad enough that at least for me its not such a worthwhile endeavor.

Wait wait wait...before today wasn't Kinect the reason people weren't buying the Xbox One? Because they didn't want to pay for something they wouldn't use or some BS like that? Now its the main reason to buy an Xbox One over the PS4?? How about people buy Xbox One over PS4 for the great games, features and Xbox Live Service. Walk into a Gamestop and look at the Xbox One and PS4 sections and see which one looks more appealing to a casual. 3 games that aren't on Xbox One, or 9 games that aren't on Playstation 4?

xb360 would have sold a ton more if it had more exclusives toward the end. ps3 is selling better now because of its great exclusives, so after the gen people are buying it for cheap and experiencing them all. And can you stop saying xbone? xb1 isnt hard at all to type. and if it isnt about typing youre just trying to be derogatory to someones personal preference.

Who on earth said anything about buying 1 system over the other? I sure didnt. The question is whats the benefit of buying an Xbox One. I said to play cool exclusives.
Being a single console owner would suck. Miss out on so many cool games.
