what excuse will xbox fans have now if the ps4 continues to outsell the xbox one without the good old "100$ more" line?

fun arguments ahead, i cant wait

Kinectless make the console less atrative to a broader audience.

This is a bad move from Microsoft.

Sales will surely spike, but for how long?

They should shoved a $50-$70 price cut instead.

this just makes a potential $50 ps4 price cut at e3 sting that little bit more.

anyone thinking this move is truly about giving the gamer "choice"  and not about "shit shit shiiit,  we need to fix sales asap"  are seriously the type of people i want for my pyramid sche- i mean..  my investment program.

I honestly don't see much value for a 399 Xbox One without Kinect when Titanfall bundle with Kinect is currently $499.

Otherwise glad to hear about Xbox Live changes.

Why isn't the Wii U "delivering more choices?"

What do you mean?

Gamepad-less Wii U for $199.

Side note: I just found out that Nintendo Trademarked "Nintendo Zii" right before the Wii U was revealed... How the hell do you choose the name "Wii U" over "Zii!?" -_-

OH lol, that would be a good Idea actually I much prefer the pro controller over the tablet.

Or Phil is actually trying to fix Mattrick's mistakes and be more consumer friendly for the complainers

$399.. kinect-less console.. and still weaker than a ps4.. what will be the selling point to consumers now?

Games maybe?

What games? I'm pretty sure MS is blowing all their load in this first year or two. The games revealed so far? Yeah that's pretty much going to be it; there won't be any more coups or magic tricks.

I learned this the hard way by betting on the 360. The PS3 had some of the best games this generation and they all came in the later year of the cycle.

Called it.

Only problem is, now they can't differentiate from the PS4, it's just a less powerful version. Making it $349 would have been a better move.

The good thing is when there are future discounts/price cuts... I'm still not getting this one at 400 but once it's available at 350 or 300 i might get it. Seeing a XB1 with kinect at that price would probably take a long time, not so with a kinectless bundle.

well the "we need to fix sales" does lead to games receving "choices"

If they're announcing this before E3 it means they really need some room for epicness on stage.
