So do people believe that this move will propel the Xstation ahead of the PS4?

Will be interesting to see how this affects sales. I dont think it will have that much of an impact because like many people have said. You could get a xbone with kinect and titanfall for the same or just slightly above the PS4s price at most places.

Playstation fanboys are buthurt, this news for them is like a 15 inch black dildo sliding in.
This is huge for gamers, Victory for us for sure. I defo will buy a Xone when it releases in September in the Netherlands. All 3 consoles FTW!

Good move by Microsoft, and very good news for people that wanted a Xbox One. This move clearly have an economic cost because it's obvious Microsoft invested a lot in the original idea of Xbox One based on Kinect, but in the long run, it will be for the best.

Despite all this good news..., Microsoft is still in a delicate position, because right now they have to promote a console that is basically the same as its main competitor. They will now have to deal with the notion that Xbox One is less powerful than PS4 with no advantages and costs the same. They need very good games, and i don't think more Halo is enough. Sony has been very quiet all last year, and everyone knows there will be a lot of annoucements incoming. Microsoft needs an impressive E3 to counter that, an historical one.

E3 will be more important than ever....

lol. The way I see it is that there were also a lot of people that supported Kinect so they could be the vocal majority against this latest move.

Personally I think it's a good move but they stand in a situation now with lack of identity and have to find one soon. It was heavily advertised as an all in one entertainment system which relied largely on Kinect. They will have to quickly reimage itself has a gaming console and i'm sure that with the way Phil Spencer operates, this will be his aim. He's a gaming man.

I bet it can be put in an update
