It's all so stupid, really. We're all in the same boat, we wanna play some games! The platform shouldn't matter at all, especially with PS4 and Xbox One. Those systems are so similar, I bet most people can't tell the difference.

That said, some good fun is also needed. But as soon as you take all that shit serious, like your friend obviously does, it gets ugly. In my opinion, you should just ignore such people. Because all they really wanna achieve with their provocations is attention. If you can't ignore him altogether, just ignore any flaming coming from him. He will get borrd of it eventually and hopefully start enjoying games again instead.
