Well, I think that everyone has the right to voice an opinion but if my friends bought a console I m not a fond of, I try to respect their decision and be supportive cause we all have different tastes. With that begin said, I will never recommend that console and instead recommend the one I like but I will try not to get in an argument with my friend about it

I tried not to get into it with him but it's my thinking if he "hated" playstation he shouldn't be playing it to begin with. If I hate something I tend to avoid it.

Geez.. clearly he doesn't wants to hurt your Sony feelings while he hates them... He lies about loving Sony just because of you.. it's called Love..

lol, no.

I enjoy trolling good friends and saying things I don't think about their favourite console. Then if they're not good friends, depends of the situation.

Idk, just don't talk about Sony games with him?

Tell him to be true to himself, if he liked it he should enjoy it and stop being such a one-sided guy, life don't need to be this way, he can enjoy both.
I was once like this, but everyone were in the war between Nintendo and Sega, you had to pick a side and fight for it or you would be beaten up in the street if not, lol.
But really, I have the nostalgic spot to Sega because I had the first and more intense contact with it before Nintendo, but when I gave it a chance I loved it, and that was better to me.
I still think Sonic, the character, is better than Mario, because he have much more charisma and is cooler, IMO, but I know that Mario games always were great and today are way better than Sonic games (ever since the Dreamcast, seems like Sega needs it own console to bring great Sonic games).
I could enjoy a lot of amazing games when opened my mind to it. If he seems to enjoy it, tell him to just accept it and be happy playing the playstation. It's better to him.

I agree with you but I can't see him accepting it. He's very much still in the console war mentality. I enjoy consoles by Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony. They all bring something different to the table. I think he somehow feels like admitting you liking one system makes it impossible to like the competing one.

This guy sounds great. I would add him to my friend list just to read the stuff he writes.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

People have weird standards for "friends".

How about: If it's an idiot, don't associate with it.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

If he bought both a PS3 and PSV then he probably doesn't hate Sony, I don't know why anyone would burn $500 on consoles they hate. It sounds with some people or in some places he's trying to preserve his status quo for whatever reason.

I have tons of friends that can't stand Sony or Nintendo, I just grin and bear with it. If he is a true friend in everything but consoles, I would just let it be.
