I was once like this, but everyone were in the war between Nintendo and Sega, you had to pick a side and fight for it or you would be beaten up in the street if not, lol. But really, I have the nostalgic spot to Sega because I had the first and more intense contact with it before Nintendo, but when I gave it a chance I loved it, and that was better to me. I still think Sonic, the character, is better than Mario, because he have much more charisma and is cooler, IMO, but I know that Mario games always were great and today are way better than Sonic games (ever since the Dreamcast, seems like Sega needs it own console to bring great Sonic games). I could enjoy a lot of amazing games when opened my mind to it. If he seems to enjoy it, tell him to just accept it and be happy playing the playstation. It's better to him. |
I agree with you but I can't see him accepting it. He's very much still in the console war mentality. I enjoy consoles by Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony. They all bring something different to the table. I think he somehow feels like admitting you liking one system makes it impossible to like the competing one.
