Forums - Gaming Discussion - So Mario Kart 8 isn't going to help boost sales of the Wii U huh?

http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Mario-Kart-8-Selling-Out-Worldwide-Becomes-Fastest-Selling-Bundle-Nintendo-World-63980.html And this isn't even Smash Bros. Could this be the resurgence of the Wii U? Let's face it, now's a perfect time to get it, with two games (MK8, and a digital download) and the slew of the mature games people have been waiting for on the horizon like Bayo 2, Smash, and X, then Zelda and Fatal Frame as the two huge titles for 2015. Hop on board guys, the hype is real!

I sincerely hope MK8 will resurrect the WiiU.
It really pains me to see Nintendo struggling that much.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

No it still costs to much for what it is. Smash Bros isn't nearly as big of a game as Mario Kart either. I don't know why people (OP included) think Smash will push a console. Maybe in Japan it might push some WiiUs.

Edit: After reading this article it seems a huge Nintendo fanboy wrote it. Who actually believes this?

Nobody in their right mind thinks MK8 won't move hardware.

Smash has the best following of fans I know they are dedicated to those games.

It will push consoles but so far I haven't seen many say "Wii U bundles are selling like hotcakes." Until that happens we can't determine anything.

Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.

It will move hardware, but not a ressurgence. Not even close. The console won't see 100K per week, not even on launch week.

Well i don't plan on getting one for a while but I do hope that it does boost considerably so that things get better before X and B2 come out

It will boost Wii U sales, which was the thread topic.

A little over 150k WW

Which i'm agreeing on. I'm just saying the boost won't be enough to be called a ressurgance.
