http://gearnuke.com/insomniac-games-explain-sunset-overdrive-exclusive-xbox-one-microsoft-terrific-partners/

By direct connection if Sunset Overdrive is exclusive to MS because they are terrific partners are they infering that Sony are bad partners? Are they bad mouthing the company that kept them fed for quite some time?

The post make it sound like the reason on the exclusivity is because Insominiac keeps the IP, I would think it's more possible that MS paid for it to be exclusive. Because on the question of having the IP for themselves their last game (not RC) were multiplat and they delivered (and had bad reception even from MS players), so I don't see other reason than MS outbid Sony on it.

Some people forget twitter is global and their comments will be read by a lot of people and maybe bad taken and distorted... I wouldn't doubt we'll see soon another person (or the same) trying to explain and damage control this bad comment.

Aren't MS footing the entire bill for SO? Both for the game itself and marketing?

Pretty sure i read that somewhere in the XB Nation thread today.

This is what I said in my OP, but the article try to sound like it's just because of IP ownership (and if it is exclusive to one platform, what difference ownership of the IP makes???).

Since Microsoft is feeding them now, no, they aren't.

I can understand why they're so keen on owning their IPs now. It has to suck that everything they worked on for the past decade plus belongs to Sony. That said, Insomniac aren't what they used to be and the footage of Sunset Overdrive is really disappointing to me.

Microsoft gave insomniac what they wanted. Freedom to be independent, ownership of the IP and resources. What else can be this good.

why is it ms always "buys" games and Sony just always gets them out of their amazing goodness??

Somy was buying insomniac games before, you know.

Insomniac was never very good, they were just said to be good because they were Sony exclusive, and Sony has so many fans who automatically praise any sony exclusive.

once they went multiplat they no longer had that effect, so people were free to say the truth about their games.

That said, SO actually looks kinda cool, amd I dislike cartoony art, but it looks cool renough to overcome that maybe.

The conotation wasn't necessary. And if the game is exclusive to MS platforms what difference in ownership would mean besides the platformholder not kicking you and choosing a different studio??

And do we know if Sony haven't the original concept of Resistance and R&C and handed it to Insominiac?

And yes, they have been a little downhill lately?

They have good reasons on why to change the feeder, but I'm discussing their public answer and the article incomplete view.

And when have any of this even been said here??

The own title of the OP is recognition that sony were paying to game the game on their platform... Wrong thread and wrong complaint.
