BS. People werent defending the numbers neccessarily. They were just sick of the embarrasingly juvenile reactions to them.

And they were wrong to be sick, vgchartz even ajusted up PS4's numbers before the NPD's numbers.

Sony systems generally do well in the other countries so the numbers aren't too alarming. Also what makes you think Vita is overtracked by nearly a million? Any source or just a hunch?

honest question, how accurate are those numbers for the Vita? I'm pretty sure Sony confirmed previously most of the sales they're getting is from digital releases on the handheld. I for one have 2 retail bought games and around 30 digital ones (including some PS+ freebies as well).

There will be a small pool of Vita owners who prefer physical releases (I am one of those people), but I wouldn't be surprised to see these numbers overtracked.
