Well it only has 18 reviews on metacritic at the moment and who knows maybe IGN will take the time to actually update their review score after installing the update that has been available to them (though I doubt that), if the day one patch really fixes the bugs then the european scores shouldn't be weighed down by that.

Also the userscore is hilarious as always, either green or red, not a single yellow review, all thanks to fanboys. As long as this persists the game industry will never get an equivalent to IMDB that's actually worth something and until we get something like that "professional" reviews will always be given way too much attention.

There will never be anything like IMDB for games because people are too invested in their consoles.

People's interpretation of review scores are weird though.  79 for LBP3 and people talk about it like it isn't any good, and something like Sunset Overdrive gets an 82, just 3% more, and gets widespread praise.

It's all agenda driven, I'm telling you guys that this whole "the PS4 has a shitty holiday line up" thought has been driven so hard into peoples minds by now (and I swear that that includes some reviewers) that they're probably taking anything under 80-85 for a PS exclusive as a confirmation of their belief.

Also it doesn't help that metacritic uses its coloring scheme differently when it comes to games, everything under 75 is yellow for games, when for all the other things under 60 is yellow (though 60 would be way too low to still be green for games), the games review industry is just doesn't work well at all at the moment.

I know there are threads about this in the main site, but I think it would be better to ask here, to avoid any agendas.

What do you guys think of PS4 exclusives this year now that the last one is out?

Despite my post above, I'd still call it filler, it had some good stuff but nothing huge. Next year will be much different, might become the most expensive year in gaming for me.

Yeah I think it has been a poor year really.  That isn't to say there hasn't been anything good.  Infamous was good, The Last of Us was amazing again but obviously it's appeal is diminished because it was a port of a year old game.  I'm looking forward to DriveClub and LBP3 as well, as I think I will really enjoy them. But four games in a year, none of which are amazing, isn't great.  I think only Nintendo had a great year out of the three console makers

Yeah, you could say that. But looking back at last year, you can see that Nintendo had a similarly weak year regarding first party, with only one stand out game really (I'd call Pikmin, Lego City, W101 and WW HD filler as well), just with no third party to boot.

I'm really not regretting waiting till 2015 for my PS4 purchase, so much great stuff next year.

I thought Nintendo's line up last year was really good, Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101 were fantastic games imo as well as 3D World.

But yes, PS4 next year should be strong.  I would expect/hope for Bloodborne, Tearaway Unfolded, Ratchet & Clank, Persona 5 and Uncharted to score highly, and hopefully The Order, Dragon Quest Heroes and Until Dawn can turn out good as well, as previews have been mixed so far.

Probably comparable in France, no way is germany 30% ahead of France in PS4 sales.

most likely. just shows how silly those downward adjustments a few weeks ago were.

Honestly, if it were up to exclusives, I would have never purchased PS4. I bought it for 3rd party games.

Killzone, Knack, Driveclub, LBP3 - don't care, never even tried them.

Infamous - boring to me, short and repetitive, was praying for the end to come..

The only Sony exclusive I like is MLB The Show...

I don't know if I skipped any. Luckily, 3rd party games kept me very entertained for the whole year, ending now with Far Cry and GTA.
