yeah seems like its gonna happen after all. xbox guys should be pissed, even though most wont. 

The amazon charts for the year 2014 has been actualised and the Destiny bundle is now in 46 position, just behind the xbox one + kinect bundle

it sure as hell could have been. 2 billion for a game thats already multiplatform. for a studio that was built for the sole purpose of handling minecraft. and the creator behind the game, the mastermind, is supposedly leaving. its a useless buy. 

Honestly I'm happy it's Mojang. If Nadella approved 2billion more for games, imagine what Microsoft could have bought with that. That's how much Take Two is worth. GTA 6 Xbox One exclusive. That would make me pissed for a year. Sure Minecraft is big and they will probably see a return on that investment after some time. But Minecraft is a casual phenomenon, will sell shitload and sell consoles to the kids, but they could have done way more damages with money this big.

thats the sad thing. Sony are growing Sony Bend and Guerrilla Cambridge into AAA devs. they made Guerrilla Games, Naughty Dog, Quantic Dream (even though they arent first party), Media Molecule, and Sony Santa Monica (even though that didnt work) into 2 team studios. They grew Ready At Dawn from a start up dev to a PSP dev and now into a AAA dev. they invest so much into first party devs that help with external studios to make games. Bloodborne, Everybody's Gone to the rapture, Ready At Dawn, Rime, The Order 1886, The Tomorrow Children, Alienation, Resugon are all games that are not only funded by sony but Sony external studios help develop as well. spending 2 fucking billion on a 40 team studio... fuck me man. 

Fun game to maybe take this whole Minecraft situation in a more "positive" direction. Imagine Sony could just throw around $2 billion dollars in acquisations/deals for the PS. What would you want them to do with this?

Take Two, just to watch the whole world burn. Games like Borderlands, Bioshock and GTA exclusive? Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

^^heh we all know Mojang is a shell that contains Minecraft IP, that's what the game is about, unless Mojang has something super secret under wraps. But as it seems and looking at Scrolls, it may be a one hit wonder studio, although the wonder is pretty huge and hasn't peaked yet, it certainly won't peak as an exclusive though. 
As for the comparison, well it's nothing new that Sony and MS have different philosophy in spending money on gaming.

Make GTA VI a PS exclusive and buy From Software and Ready At Dawn Studio.

2 billion?

1) buy linceses to make Pepsi Man: The legend. a reboot for the Pepsi Man game on PS1. 

2) Buy the Pitfall IP from Activision and give it to SSM and form a new Team. Make the game based on the principals of Pitfall the lost expidition. (open world, exploration, focus on humor and melee combat, and big, huge stuff to platform and ancient/forest setting)

3) Buy the Rampage IP from who ever owns it and make a new Rampage game for 15$ on PSN. a rampage game doesnt need to be AAA.

4) Give PS All Stars Another shot. This time include more than one character from a franchise into the roster. Drake, Chloe, Ellie, Joel, Kratos, Delsin, Cole, Radec, Visari, Ratchet, Jack and Daxter. Sir Galahad, Fetch, Sly Cooper, Sack Boy, Iota (tearaway),  Nariko, Bloodborne character, from Sony owned games. and use the money to get Snake, Trevor, Ezio, Sub Zero, John Mariston, Max Payne. The Guradian (Destiny),  Cloud, Crash and Spyro from third party games.

Also, add comstumization options to each character. what they wear, and look like. for example like in Destiny with the guradians, add those options and give each character similiar ones. 

5) Buy Ready At Dawn

6) Buy Quantic Dream

7) Support the "To The Moon" developer and give him his own studio and office. even if its small or just located in say SSM or something, help him make games and hopefully expand.
