That's a steal. The game is essentially for free then since the regular PS4 costs $449.99.

I wonder if it might be a hint that they are dropping the PS4 back to $399.99 again in Canada

A verified Sony employee has commented on some things on Reddit:

  • Early 2015 for DLNA
  • MP3 and Video players by the Holiday season, MP3 possibly sooner
  • PlayStation App will get a re-design. 
  • If you own a PS3 game digitally, you will not get the game on PlayStation Now for free. This wouldn't make sense business wise. Streaming games costs money, which would mean Sony would make a loss on every streamed PS3 game someone bought.

  • If you own a PS3 game digitally, you will not get the game on PlayStation Now. This doesn't make sense business wise. Streaming games costs money, which would mean Sony would make a loss on every streamed PS3 game someone bought.

This is absolutely stupid beyond belief.

If a person wants to pay to stream a game, he is not allowed, because he had it purchased some time in the past. What if he wants to stream Red Dead Redemption in 2017, and he no longer has a PS3 because he upgraded to a PS4 three years ago. They just tell him to f*** off, because he should have kept the console?

Are they basically trying to screw their most loyal customers?

 

EDIT: Perhaps I'm reading it wrong. He probably means that you have to pay again...

Yeah, at first I understood "you will not get the game on PSNow" as you cannot get it at all.
A bit of thinking caused the edit, as I didn't want to just delete the post.

For those dense like me, it should have said "you will not get the game for free on PS Now"
