I heart Super Mario World. One of the top five SNES games and one of the best launch games too. The graphics, presentation, sound, music, and controls are all stellar. Together with the diversity of levels, branching paths, and secret areas, SMW an all-time great.

Super mario bros 3 (nes) & Super Mario World (snes) are the best 2D platform games ever!

I agree. SMW was when I stopped playing the series. It was a huge step back from SMB3.

I did not touch 2D mario games ever again until NSMB on the DS.

cons: added upwards kick which is missing from the later "2d" style mario games (NSMB series) that makes me angry every time I play those new games they just feel so outdated.

I dont get why they removed that.......

(I know its actually a pro because its cool but the fact that its not in the later games and that I cant get over it is a con! Why did you ever introduce that feature NINTENDO!!!!!!!!!!)

I had this back in the day and finished all 96 levels, even that secret YOU ARE SUPER PLAYER level, great game! Good review too =D
