Wii u owners buy 3rd party games, unless you want to say ps4/xone owners don't buy third party games, it's hipocrisy. because out od the top 10 it's pretty similar for the 3.

yes you named the only 3 third party games that sold over 500k  on wiiu, now compare that to ps4 thirdparty sales, keep in mind the wiiu has been out for a year longer.

You do realize that's completely irrelevant, right? you are only pointing that in general, 3rd parties do better on others. do better on others =/= not selling on wii u. I pointed they do sell on wii u, wich is the thread's discussion point.

I think those sales are actually pretty good considering the low userbase of the Wii U.

yes you named the only 3 third party games that sold over 500k  on wiiu, now compare that to ps4 thirdparty sales

The PS4 has a larger selection of better quality 3rd party titles.

just compare sales of the biggest franshises lke batman, AC4 and COD the ps4 is out selling the wiiu version by 10 to 1. so what your saying is not true at all, especially when you consider the wiiu got blops 2, ac3 and batman AA

Those games (and most major 3rd party games) have skipped Nintendo consoles for decades (or they were rushed ports).  Why would they have a userbase to sell too on Nintendo consoles?  Do you think it will just magically appear?  COD:MW3 on PS3 has outsold COD on PS2 10:1 as well.   Does that mean the PS2 gamers didn't like 3rd party games?  Of course not.  It just shows that Activision took the time and resources needed to create and nurture a userbase of COD gamers to sell to on Playstation consoles.

Why would a Nintendo gamer buy AC3, when they were never exposed to AC1 or AC2?  Why would they buy another CoD, when they have only been exposed to rushed gimped ports in the past?  3rd parties have done well in creating and nurturing a large market of gamers to sell to on Playstation consoles, but not on Nintendo consoles.  Any comparison in total sales numbers between these games is disingenuous at best.

and the reason nintendo fans haven't been exposed to those franshises is because nintendo made  the wii to weak to handle them. the result is third party's seeing the biggest franshises failing on wiiu, and that makes them not wanna support it, and i don't  blame them.

That's certainly part of the problem, but the problem existed way before the Wii.  There is always an excuse not to support Nintendo consoles, and that excuse usually amounts to 'it's not exactly like the Playstation'.

My experience is this. Nintendo consoles atm are generally weaker than its counterparts (as in PS4 and Xbox One) and therefore graphics and frame rates are worse. Nintendo doesn't have an achievement system. So I buy Nintendo games and exclusives on the Wii U and buy 3rd party games on for my 360 so I can get the achievements. But when or if I get a Xbox One I will still buy 3rd party games on that system. If Nintendo were to release a console that was equal in power to the others and had an achievement system I wouldn't feel the need to own another console. Unless there was an exclusive on that console that I couldn't resist.

Nintendo in my opinion needs to create an adult games division that create all genres of games like COD and Halo and Racing games that equal the quality of whats already out there. They also need to carry on their great tradition of Mario and Zelda games etc. Personally I think if they bought out Bungie, Square Enix, a company that produces good racing games and Capcom they would have it all covered. Not sure how much that would cost though lol.

I buy 3rd party games. In the last 6 months I've bought GTAV, Tomb Raider, South Park and Dark Souls 2, too bad none of these games came to the WiiU.

You buy 3rd party titles on other more superior hardware. You only buy nintendo exclusives on nintendo consoles because they are.. Well. Exclusives. I would like nothing more than for nintendo to stop making hardware and to put their titles on the other platforms. That way you get better visuals and you dont need to buy a second or third console just to play 1-2 games per year on it.

I bought Sega all stars racing, Injustice, Sonic lost world. but i couldn't bring myself to get the other games that weren't getting the DLC, like Batman origins

We all probably dream about one unified console where we can play all games. Will it happen?

Yes, when iOS and Androd become one,

when Netflix and HBO and Hulu and Amazon become one,

when I can see all TV-shows from US, Japan, UK, Germany, China on my TV.

It has practically been done for music trough iTunes and Spotify, why is it so hard to do the same with games?????

Rant over!

Because they are horrible compared to Nintendo games.

Only according to Nintendo fans. According to me they are way superior compared to all Nintendo games except Pokemon.

What was the last Zelda or Mario you played?
