In my house, we have nothing but Apple devices so Apple tv is all I needed.

To be honest you do not need the X1 just a TV that has HDMI in



ehh, my post didn't really have anything to do with the need of an xbox one for this but if you want chromecast and see it for 32 bucks or for 33 bucks with an xbox one it would be pretty stupid to buy it without xbox so that 532 is also not 500 bucks too much.

i want to see the guy who says "33 is one too much because i don't need the console to use it like that"



True, one of the real purpose I was trying to bring is that with the X1 you can use those Miracast type devices and stream anything through your X1. Since the X1 supports Miracast, I am hoping MS get creative with it and provide that functionality without the dongle.
