Does anyone know how to have the dualshock 4 as the main controller when playing the vita? I have seen a video recently someone doing that but I can't seem to figure it out.

where'd you see that?

...the only way i know of for sure is remote play via ps4 since the feature is a screen-duping.

 What you need to do is turn on the PS4. Don't choose a profile. Get the Vita linked to it. Use the dualshock to pick a profile that isn't linked to the Vita. This will disable the Vita's ability to control the PS4 but it will still show it.
