Forums - Gaming Discussion - Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures only sold 120,000 copies across all systems, yet Namco is still releasing a sequel?

If it wasn't a cheap developed game then it wouldn't have made a profit :P. Look at games like Hyperimdension or atelier that barely pass the 100k mark, but they keep getting sequels because they're making a profit. Industry needs cheaper games that fit a niche audience!

So much truth in this. I feel like the industry as a whole got away from this and forgot that this was an option as well. I feel like we're gonna see more of this again from the established publishers.

With sales like these, I've always wondered why Konami keeps releasing Castlevania games.

Well, this a surprise! Maybe I should actually look into this game!

Yet Namco is all up in arms about localizing games which is far less than developing a brand new game.

Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures was a cheaply-developed piece of crap, so of course it made a profit!
