So he's going to make a billion dollars from this incident. Justice is served.

How's he going to do that? But you're right if he does. You're richer from him being richer.

They're forcing him to sell the Clippers. Apparantly some people are offering 1b+ for it.

That's nuts! They're not worth 1 billion. The new owner will have some work to do.

NFL is a bigger joke when you think about it. Vick fought and killed dogs, Ray Lewis beat a murder charge, and Michael Sam is the guy of the three mentioned who no one wants to play with because he's gay.

NBA: you can take all the dangerous doping you want, but if you make a racial comment you're banned for life!

American sport is such a joke.

Note: I do condone racism (in fact, I write my thesis on racism in antiquity), but this is blatant hypocrisy.

Soccer is a bigger joke.

If you dope in American Sports you're basically done. Do you watch Baseball or NFL?

Don't watch them, but I do have a fascination for doping in sports and therefor I do know the anti-doping policies of various sports like Baseball, cycling (only sport I watch), Basketball, American Football, football, etc

You're right that football (soccer) is also a joke. Doesn't excuse American sports. Bribery is a bigger issue in football (soccer) than doping.

Well, that's interesting...

If you can be suspended from owning something, do you in fact own it?

If he's banned for life, anyway, what motive is there for him to pay this fine?

Going forward, will players who say sexist or homophobic things face a lifetime ban?

Gays and women arent really the target audience for the NBA so I doubt it. Just like the Duck Dynasty thing from a while back. He hated on the gays stores pulled their merch until they found out that days arent their biggest source of income. Something tells me that Duck Dynasty guy and his supporters also support this guy too.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

So is he still with the olddigger he said those things to?

As part of the ban, Sterling is not allowed "to attend any NBA games or practices, be present at any Clippers office or facility, or participate in any business or player personnel decisions involving the team."

Is that even legal? He's the owner.

Good question. I'm pretty sure that under the terms of NBA ownership you are subject to all aspects of the NBA's corporate constitution and therefore when this inevitably goes to court I get a sense it will be upheld.

They could outright ban his entire franchise basically cutting him out of the league so this seems like a better way to get him to sell his team and all-together cut ties.

Much deserved.

What some people are failing to realize is that if they don;t ban him, he hurts the NBA in multiple ways. Fans and sponsors won't want to be associated with the Clippers and no one will want to sign with them in free agency or be drafted by them.

Whats worse is they banned and fined him on stuff he said in the privacy of his own home. Being black i really could not careless if he dies tomorrow, but being human and knowing that someone can be punished for behaving a certain way in the privacy of their own home is a bit more concerning to me.

That being said, this dude has a history of this, TMZ just decided to run with it this time....

It was significantly more than a racial comment. While I admit I'm confused about why it took a soundbite to bring him down when his racial and misogynistic antics have been public record (literally) for years, this is hardly a one-and-done.

You do condone racism? Anyway, NBA players do get fined and suspended for drug use. But how was Sterling going to return from a suspension and own a team that employs 13 of 15 black players? None of them would play for him.

Sterling's racism was not a secret, not even an open secret.

"No one wants to play with"? Source? Let's not condemn a group for something they haven't done and, I suspect, largely won't do.

Mofo got what he deserved if you ask me!
