Driveclub Release Date Officially Revealed

Sony has announced Driveclub will be available on PS4 from October 7 in North America, October 8 in Europe and October 10 in the UK.

Earlier this week the company promised a release date was imminent, and it seems that it wasn't lying. An announcement trailer has also been revealed, which you can check out below.

Originally planned to launch alongside the PS4, Driveclub was instead delayed until “early 2014” back in October, 2013. Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida attributed the delay to technical issues involving the game’s social features. It seems the issues may have been harder to solve than originally anticipated though, as by time the game releases it'll have been delayed for almost an entire year.

Evolution Studios’ Col Rodgers, who was serving as game director on Driveclub, departed the UK Studio in February. We'll have much more on Driveclub in the coming weeks, including a chance for you to ask the developers your questions directly.

Very nice. Sony is going to have a great Fall lineup

Fall is always too busy and expensive which pushes this purchase to 2015 for me. Late summer would have been better. BOO
