The only funny thing I see is you making up this BS, saying people are saying E3 isn't a big deal. and worse, as if last year wasn't enough of a lesson for this subject, you keep trying to convince others that nintendo isn't showing up at E3. try harder.

you didnt read! go back a couple of posts and actually read, some people are downplaying E3. try harder. ANd no sending in a video is NOT showing up. they are not physically there. is that hard to grasp? Unless they will be there then i stand corrected

Hey Oni, they'll be at E3 they just won't give a press conference. I think they will host a Smash tournament at e3 and also have a room with Nintendo devs so journalists can ask them questions. The bestbuy thing is just for people who can't attend e3.

ok, i still say that they should have had a conference. IMHO not having one still gives the impression that they are not doing all they can do or admitting defeat.

Press conferences are over-hyped. Of course I like the awesome moments at E3 press conferences. There is a special feeling about it but there were also pretty bad conferences. Then they should do something great and not feel the need to do it like the other do.

I even can't understand the people. They wanted Nintendo to be more modern, less traditional and when they do it everybody hates it.

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

Did ANYONE watch those f****** Spike/GT shows during last E3?

BOOORING !

Of course the streaming sites go frenzy about Nintendo going to deliver 8 hours of live content per day. Thats a direct competition which might even have higher production value in it.

And those Spike TV shows etc. - those showed us 5 -10 min. of a game played by a PR guy. Great.

So instead of waiting on Spike TV to get some 5-10 min. infos about games I'm interested in or games which will be released on my systems - I WILL WATCH TREEHOUSE LIVE.

No wait. Always the next fix coming. Even better coverage and more in depth infos as TREEHOUSE HAS THE AIR TIME to do so.

Great move Nintendo. Hope they make their show accessible from Wii U / 3DS via an special App ( oh - mobile iOS/Android would be sending shockwaves through the industry ... ). Think about having a stream displayed in a virtual theatre where your Mii and others from around the World are watching. And maybe you can chat with this too... They could even blast everything away by projecting the Miis on the E3 showfloor and blending reality with virtuality.

The question is - how will those traditional streaming coverage media react? They need to add value - otherwise they are off as others will follow Nintendos example soon.

This E3 is going to be great for Nintendo fans. And it's a good sign that Nintendo is going to cater them rather than pampering mainstream gaming journalists whose publications don't favor Nintendo anyway...

Can't wait to see how exactly Nintendo is joining with us fans...

I'm fine with them not doing a live conference. Gamers and press are going to hear about what Nintendo is up to whether its a live conference or Nintendo Direct. It seems to me the only gaming news that mainstream media and casual gamers care about is outside of the box hardware ie Wii and Project Natal.

They need to stay relevant. Not showing up at E3 is diminishing their relevance in the consumer's eye.

thank goodness they never stoped showing up at E3.

I think you're trying to be sarcastic, but just in case, they did stop E3 press conferences since last year.

No press conference =/= no show at E3. I can't believe some people still don't get this! If anything they expanded E3 to most of NA instead of just the one city/state where E3 is held.

I am simply referring to the press conference. nothing else. they are not holding a press conference - i am not saying there are no nintendo booths that have games, i am not saying they are not holding a digital direct. all i am saying is there is no press conference. that is it. so can all of you stop assuming i am saying things that i am not. thank you kindly.

Nay, a Nintendo Direct showing of Zelda U would do it.
