Definitely the PS1 for me. Home to my favorite ever game (FF9) as well as as the birth place of so many great series.
Not to mention it pretty much created what would grow into the core market we have today.

Back then the PS1 was the coolest but the N64 win the test of time. I'm sorry but the PS1 multiplayer offering doesn't get any close from what the N64 had. Plus I think the N64 had more revolutionaty games like Mario 64, Goldeneye and Zelda OoT. PS1 was great for RPG but again, just looks at the prices of those N64 classics nowadays even when they sold millions of copies back then.
N64 for me without a doubt
My favourite console of the last four generations vs. my least favourite console of the last four generations. Easy choice.
Playstation, hands down.
Playstation was better by far. It had the coolness of Sega Mega Drive and the high quality of SNES all wrapped into one. The N64 was a big decline from SNES.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
I remember playing the playstation over at my friends house and I thought the controls were a joke. It felt so sloppy. I'm probably biased in my picking the N64 but dear god I loved ocarina of time and majora's mask. Not to mention Mario 64 was so epic.
