Microsoft has only brought PC style gaming to the console realm. Outside of that their ability to create games is weak. If Microsoft left the gaming industry any one of their competitors could pick up competitive online gaming. Sony adapted, didn't they? If Sony left the gaming industry no way would Microsoft be able to replicate their studios ability to create fresh games in various genres. The same goes for Nintendo. Nintendo and Sony alone deliver hot titles to various genres. Of all the games Microsoft has internally made their most well crafted games are Forza and Fable. Halo, nor Gears were initially made by them from the start so I dont count them. Sony and Nintendo have a slew of franchises and Sonys list is growing by the gen.
If I had to pick one, I guess Microsoft. But I just wish they would refocus, I don't want them to leave.

What have those things ever done for the gaming community. Lol. BTW: They are also the only ones still supporting backwards compatibility and giving people access to free online gaming. Those bastards! How about implementing the use of prior consoles controllers so we don't have to rush out and buy $50 controllers to play local multiplayer. |
Exactly! Nobody cares about those so called innovations!

Microsoft, just because they basically just do the same thing Sony does and Halo would go on fine being multiplat.
Plus I think it would allow Nintendo to return back to what they were in the 1990s ... a more balanced family + hardcore gamer company.
nobody. competition keeps these companies from getting too stuck up. MS was very helpful in x360 bring sony down to earth with the ps3 in its later life as it got its ass kicked in the begining.
Sony was instrumental in bringing MS back to earth after the E3 fiasco.
Nintendo and Sega kept eachother going with some great games on both platforms back in the day.
MS is why sonys had to get their network better, as well as nintendo figuring it out just now. of course it opinion.
Nintendo brings quality and innovation to the table
Sony brings technology and willingness to work hard with 3rd parties
Microsoft brings anti-consumer and anti-privacy policies, and sports. Bro.
I know which I'd prefer to stick to their office software and Bing.

Sony brings tons of quality as well with their first-party games.
@Ucell agree to disagree, LBP aside, there has never been a first party Sony game that I've wanted to play. And those that I have played haven't been fantastic.
I understand it's subjective, and if you like them then that's great, but Sony's first party efforts, to me, have never been better than average.
