What Company Should Leave the Gaming Industry?

Microsoft 658 65.28%

Nintendo 118 11.71%

Sony 229 22.72%

Total:1,005

Obviously, less competition hurts the industry, but if there were one company that is being elected to drop out of the gaming industry, who whould you elect?

I would elect Microsoft for the reason that the Xbox is hurting Microsoft and that 90% of XB games are multiplats. This is my opinion. Nintendo have many exclusives that will go to waste and Sony provide games of all varieties.

Right now, I don't think any of them should. However, I do find one or two should revise some of their "strategies" (or elements of it).

I am not a Microsoft enthusiast, but I commend them for the advancements they made in the previous two gens - particularly in the online gaming arena. It's still early in this gen and they've shown how responsive they are to criticism. They may still have good contributions to the industry this gen. That's not to suggest I don't have issues with them (time exclusive DLC instead of investing that in games internally for instance).

Nintendo on the other hand, I have MANY issues with, and would like for them to make alterations (that's just me I guess). There's a bigger picture beyond exclusive titles in my view. Either way, I don't think any should leave. They all can improve.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

If I had to pick one, it would be Nintendo, because I just don't enjoy most of their first party games as much as I used to.

Sorry.

I would say right away "Microsoft", then I gave it some thought and it's either Nintendo or Sony. Of course, nobody is leaving, but it would be better if an eastern company leaves, instead of making the only western company in the industry to leave. That would make this a confusing industry. Sure, Sony is winning in the west and probably will, but I think it's better to have 1 western and 1 eastern, than 2 eastern.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

MS. Nintendo and Sony are in the business longer and their 1st party content is better IMO. Xbox profit also isn't huge and it isn't vital for Microsoft.

If that were to happen, would have to say Microsoft. Sony and Nintendo are just too necessary to kill off.

I don't want any of them to leave, but if I had to choose it would be Nintendo. Oh and yay! MS is winning in the poll.

Sony, so I can play Uncharted on WiiU.

I feell that the reason Microsoft is a western company is not because of the region of Microsoft but the games XB provides us with. Titanfall Halo Forza Dead Rising and many others are aimed towards the western gamers but if those IP's were to be given away to either NInty or Sony, then one of those twowill be considered a Western company because of the feel of its games.
