I went into work today and my manager told me that there was a memo about it. It has been officially cancelled for Xbox One. It is still coming to all other platforms, including 360 though. Not sure if this information had been updated in forums yet.

I don't think any X1 owner wanted the game anyway.

Honestly if the Xbox One isn't getting Amazing Spiderman 2, then Microsoft might as well stop producing consoles now. The Amazing Spiderman 2 is a system seller, and not having it available on your console makes you doooomed.

Damn I was totally gonna buy this amazing looking title in this great series by this developer with an incredible pedigree.

This is just random as hell to me, considering it's coming out on almost every other platform.

What is it about the Xone that makes it less appealing than, say, the WiiU? At least I can understand it not being on the Vita because of how poorly it's selling--I don't know why they even bothered with the first game, frankly--but the Xone seems healthy enough and powerful enough to be worth the investment. Plus it's going to be on the 360 anyway, so it's not like they're avoiding MS entirely.

The whole situation is a real headscratcher. Hopefully we get a proper explanation...although I'm not keeping my hopes up on that.

Maybe it's Microsoft who rejected the game because of their own quality control?
