This is probably going to be quoted to death, but unless every PS3 exclusive pulls an Infamous and sells better because PS4 is selling better, those bottom 3 IP's are all on a decline.

Also it wouldn't make much sense to blow their biggest load in 12 months when it could be spread out through the gen and sprinkle the gaps with new IPs and lesser known exclusives.

LBP maybe, but Saying GOW and GT are on a decline is completely disingenuous. Ascension was a prequel/spin off that focused on multiplayer, and its performance is in no way representative of the series as a whole. GT6 released on the PS3 RIGHT AFTER the PS4 launched, which is obviously going to negatively affect its sales potential. If a mainline Halo game released exclusively for the 360 right after the X1 launch, you can be damn sure it would see much lower sales than previous installments. But it would be utterly moronic of someone to use that as evidence of franchise decline.

If people say Gears of War Judgement is on a decline or "dead" as a IP then that also applies to GOW. Same month, both prequels, yadayada. Both games performance is representative of the fanbases current interest in the series as a whole.

Write Sony a letter if you think they cannabilized their own flagship exclusive GT. Doesn't change results. I thought GT fans were special or the IP was special.....

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

The Microsoft confernce is the only one I want to see. Its time to show what true power really is.

The first iteration of GT always sells better than the second in a gen. GT3 & GT5 case in point. GT7 will follow suit.

We all know that Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo are all gearing up to unleash their potential system seller game lineups, for the coming holiday season and the next 12 months there after.

The big guns will come out, battle lines will be drawn, names will be taken and bubble gum will be chewed.

The game line ups and release dates will be two of the biggest deciding factors in who ultimately wins the battle of sales.

There can and will only be 1 winner.

If Sony plays its cards right, the Playstation 4 will continue to dominate the sales charts between Nov 2014- Nov 2015, and here is how.

- Uncharted 4 Nov 2014

- God Of War Mar 2015

- Little Big Planet Aug 2015

- Gran Turismo Nov 2015

There are tons of other games sprinkled in between these 4 major releases too.  Already with a 3 Million unit lead on M$ and a 1+ Million lead on Nintendo, Can either Microsoft or Nintendo compete if Sony releases this big 4 within Nov 2014 -Nov 2015 ?

God of War is on a huge decline. You can only take a repetitive hack-and-slash, button masher series so far until people get sick of it.

Little Big Planet is pretty mediocre now, I don't think it's much of a "OMG I need that game now!" series.

Gran Turismo series is still selling strong.

Uncharted 4 is what alot of people (myself included) are waiting for.

God Of War A has an online component to ot now, so even if unit sales are not as strong as before, DLC sales are adding to the total revenue. Thats a plus.

Little Big Planet is one if not the biggest Sony DLC cash cow. Again if the unit sales do not refect it, DLC for that game is released almost on a weekly basis. Huge cash cow.

Gran Turismo when announced for the ps4 will look so astonishing, it will be a gamers wet dream. Sales will reflect this.

Uncharted series has always been on the up and up. No worries there.

Gamers are going to win this E3, only fanboys discus which company made the better announcements.

So because someone has a discussion about who they felt had a better conference/made better announcements they are a fanboy?.....great logic there.

On Topic:

I opened this thread thinking you had some kind of secret that no one else knew(Mega Bomb) lol. And how did you not list The Order: 1886? While you listed some of their big games that we know are coming. I am more interested with what new IPs they have in the works. Sony always tries new things and take chances on games whether they sale or not. And I personally appreciate them for that.

Also I am looking forward to what MS has in store because I am sure they have some great new stuff in the works as well! Looking forward to E3 this year!

To be fair. The Order still has to prove itself.

The 4 games that I stated above are system sellers. Their known franchise games that playstation gamers will go out and purchase a ps4 for.

No knock on The Order, but we still have not gotten our hands on it to really know how good it is, or will be.

I think Sony will take the show, but Microsoft will probably have a good few surprises to balance the equation. Nintendo, however, likely won't do so well. They'll probably announce more same-old games that do little excite anyone.

I have a feeling Sony will champion Uncharted 4, The Order 1886, DriveClub, Guerrilla's new IP, a new game by Santa Monica, The Last Guardian, and new games from Quantic Dream, Media Molecule and Sony Bend. They'll probably also give Final Fantasy XV a big spot, as well as AC Unity, as far as third party goes.

If they deliver at lost a good few of those, they'll have won it for me. I know Halo 5 footage will excite a lot of people, but Microsoft really need to deliver a stable lineup of genuine exclusives - no timed exclusives or exclusive DLC, or even "also on PC and 360!" types either. If they can bring some of those they'll do just fine, but Microsoft's first party side has always been their weak spot.

The people who say that about Judgment are just as incorrect as you are. Spin-offs/prequels are absolutely NOT indicative of people's current interest in a franchise as a whole, and neither are games released on a console after its successor comes out. Both instances are proven to result in reduced sales of a particular installment within just about every franchise. Just because people have less of a reason to buy that particular installment doesn't mean interest in the IP as a whole has diminished. If you're really arguing that the next Gears or God of War mainline title will sell similarly or worse than Judgment or Ascension, I'd be more than happy to take that bet. Same with GT7 in relation to GT6.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to say with your last sentence. I mean I kind of figured it's an attempt at some sort of backhanded insult towards PS fans, but considering how nonsensical it is, it would seem you need some more practice. Kind of odd, considering how much experience you have.

Game wise, Xbone has nothing this year that would have it beat PS4 if Titanfall couldn't help it. Titanfall is arguably one of if not the biggest marketed game of the year. A remake like Halo 2 HD wont even come close.

PS4, even if it will not have the best exclusive lineup of the year, will have exclusive marketing and bundles for the most hyped 3rd party games: Watch Dogs, Destiny, Arkhan Knight, AC Unity. Combined with the PS4 exclusives and the brand power of PS4, Xbone will have a hard time this year.

What can help it is a heavy pricecut.

Yes that is a decline, but 9 million is still 9 million.

God of War 2013 vs GOW 3, LBP drop offs since the 1st, and GT.....damn. Much more severe in this case.

Exept you lack proof abut a decline, Vg cant track anything these days let alone a world wide seller like GT.  And then there is digital, which has been gainig slaes share.

LBP2 has digital, 1 had not.

Ok....so what, maybe 10%....20% tops. Still doesn't change the big picture. Take off the blinds, it has nothing to do with you. Your ego has nothing to do with video game IP's selling on a decline.

Projecting your own issues now are we.

You cant claim anything is on a decline since you dont have actual sales for those games, you are only speculating based of vgc guestamates and whats passed around  (more guess work) as digital share 10/20%.  Your whole opinion on the matter is based of bs.

@bolded You can say that about ANY game. Yet COD would prove you wrong. There's no way we can predict how much the next GOW will sell, as it was a pre-quel with weaker story and a different Kratos, the second GOW game on ps3 and the news about multiplayer were not well received.

LBP is mediocre is what sense exactly? Sales? Hype? Quality?

You seem to be excited for Uncharted 4 for personal reasons while ignoring the selling power of games in which you're not interested.
