Those Xbox One numbers in the UK are over 50% of the total in Europe.

~11,500 in the UK vs ~9,000 in the rest of Europe. Thats quite something. Someone correct me if Im wrong here, but I dont remember the 360 ever having/ maintaining a ratio like that with UK to Mainland Europe. Granted, the Xbox One is still to launch in a lot of EU countries, but I just find that UK bias on the numbers to be a tad surprising.

I don't think this is surprising. Xbox was never that popular in Europe except for UK. The X1 being even less popular now shifts the ratios in all other countries to the extremes where PS was already more popular. UK is able to keep the sales up because of the high Xbox ratio of last gen. Look at Germany for example. They had a ratio of 1.4:1 for PS3 to Xbox. Now they're at 2.2:1(with extremely low availability). I expect all European countries where PS3 was leading to shift much more to the extreme while UK will stay at about 1:1 ore better, much like US.

I was going to exclaim disappointment that VGC are tracking Vita below WiiU in Europe yet again, after doing it for the whole of the first half of 2013 only to have Nintendo's charts say otherwise.

But I've been hearing a fair few reports of the console being pretty difficult to find in mainland Europe these days. So maybe they are indeed no longer shipping the 1000 model in preparation for the 2000's launch.

UK numbers make sense IMO.

The software numbers don't.  The past two weeks have had software numbers for the DS/Wii ridiculously high.  They are actually up YoY the past 2 weeks.  The DS by quite a bit.  Over the past two weeks, DS software has been up nearly 62% over the same two week period last year (VGC numbers).  That is despite the charts from jvm showing 50%+ declines YoY in January and February.

Also, last year he had April at 82k for Wii software and the same for DS software.  In just the last two weeks, VGC has 88k for the Wii and 82k for the DS.  This would put the DS on track for its largest non-December month since 2012.  By a pretty decent margin as well.

It also runs contrary to the rest of the world where the Wii and DS have seen significant declines in those same weeks YoY.  If there was some fire sale in the UK of DS and Wii games, it hasn't made itself manifest in the rankings on chart-track.  The last Wii game to appear in the units top 40 was Just Dance the week ending February 8th.  None of the exclusive games for the Wii/DS that appear on their budget charts made it onto the top 40 budget chart.

Some of the others look a bit odd as well, but the DS and Wii numbers are the most blatant.

I hope the vgc tracking gets fixed. NPD shows that we're many many weeks of vastly incorrect data in this year, and it looks like it's still a fair bit off. I doubt it's intentional in any way, but wonder what's causing the consistent errors.

If I'm not mistaken, only in the UK.

XB1: 92,000 in 13 countries at $500
PS4: 128,000 in 72 countries at $400

If this keeps up, Sony is in big trouble!

Yeah, just you wait! When X1 launches in Japan and all the other 60 countries where Sony dominates, Sony will surely be in trouble!

Well as usual the US would do most of the heavy lifting, and this is dependant on MS debundling kinect. Otherwise, those 26 countries should amount to an extra 10-20k per week. Every bit helps!

Oh... that's cute. But delusionnal

1) NPD is used by Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. If Microsoft didn't agree with them why would they accept it ?

2) Vgchartz has reajusted their March's numbers thanks to NPD to put PS4 before X1 in US.

So what's your excuse now ? PS4 outsell X1 in US. Deal with it.
