Yes, because wii u's biggest games are yet to release and it's a few years too early to compare it with gamecube ltd.

Yes because the Wii U is still quite expensive.

Well I'm guessing it will have a 5 year life cycle like GameCube.

2012 - 2.3 million
2013 - 3.2 million

Which leaves around 17 million units to sell in 3 years. I predict this for 2014, 2015, and 2016.

2014 - 5 million
2015 - 7 million
2016 - 4 million

Which adds up to 16 million.

16 + 5.5 = 21.5

So possibly if it can sell a little more than my predictions.

I do think it can pass Gamecube sells (2016?). The system just needs more positive news instead of all this negative crap that all the gaming sites and other sites like Yahoo and such have. Also, Nintendo needs to promote its system much better. Right now Wii U's advert's and promo's suck. They also need to bring out more of the first party games that every one wants. Hopefully they will do this and also bring out games that utilize the features of the Wii U gamepad and also it's motion and NFC capabilities. Also a price drop by the end of 2014 to $250 should also help but I already bought the system and love it so I think others will end up buying the system as well even if as a second system (it is already the cheapest of the three systems).

Reasons to buy the system:

Aside from the already released great games (and upcoming 2nd and to a lesser extent 3rd party games) there will be these 1st party games:

Mario Kart U

Bayonetta 2

Smash Bros U

Monolith's X

Zelda U

Shin Tengami X Fire Emblem

IF they (Nintendo) really wanna sell systems they will also have:

Animal Crossing U

F-Zero U

Megaman U

Pokemon RPG U

Starfox U

Metroid U

Mario Galaxy 3

Kid Icarus U

Earthbound RPG

Mario RPG

Punchout U

These are just examples of games that should help sell Wii U systems. Thank you for your time.

Not just the biggest games, any games besides for platformers & Party games.

I said this in an earlier post and quoted people but they ignored me. Ha! (Which is fine but why ask my opinion then?)

that's normal here. too early claims always happen.

And waverace..

But not only that.. if we look at last gen.. wii-fit, wii-series where brand new ip's.. it would be hard not to expect some in this gen to..

Not only that VR.. we all know it will happend this gen (and wiiu is made for it)

People here constant (and funny it's the people not liking nintendo) act likes Nintendo not having any new iddeas..

It's nintendo.. they make the hardware they know they will need/use to do some type of games.. and we have not seen them yet.. (we will see some at e3)

Well, you claimed that the PS4 won't pass the Wii U. You've made many unlikely claims in the past.

I still think it will. It may be off to a horrible start but I think in the long wrong the console will prove it's worth as a secondary console to a lot of gamers. And I think that if Nintendo decides to drop price this holiday it will push it past gamecube numbers when it's all said and done.

Once they release a Metroid game and a Zelda game that look fantastic and get great reviews it will help push numbers. Mario Kart may help it quite a bit as well.

I admit I still have unrealistic hopes for the console. If it doesn't happen it won't effect me much though, I will still enjoy the console even if it doesn't sell 1 unit for the rest of the year.
