If it does it'll only be because it was left on the market longer.

Wii (their most successful console) had 5 solid years and then pretty much plummeted in 2012. With WiiU not having the Wiis sucess can we really expect it to last as long putting in performances like it has so far? The 5th full year was the lowest out of the five as well, and the 4th was on par with the first.

Yes.

I've stated my reasons for thinking so a ton already, if you want me to repeat I will just ask.

Shoot, I don't believe I've seen them!

I'm not sure if you're serious...

Does that mean you do want me to post why I voted "yes" or were you kidding?

No I'm serious, I don't remember reading your opinions.

Not sure, it could reach 20 million but how much further it could go is anyones guess. If MK8 and Smash take off, or Nintendo catch lightning in a bottle with an NFC game or a fully fledged Pokemon game, then perhaps it could go higher.

I never said it would last that or that I even expect it to!

I think the WiiU has much stronger legs than the GC which would make 2016-17 key years for catching up.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Who cares about it passing the gamecube or not? I have one thats enough for me to know. Give me MarioKart Smash real 3D mario and Zelda. Also metroid and especially X and I will be happy.

Numbers dont mean shit. What exactly is the Wii's 100 telling us? Its def not telling us how many gamers bought the Wii. PS2's 150m also does not tell us that 150m different people bought a PS2 because 90% of the fats died due to of disk read errors and so people like me and 20+ of my friends bought a slim because what do you do with 20 jrpgs etc but no system? I dont even know a single person that owns a fat PS2 thats still working.

Third party does not care about install base on Nintendo platforms so no matter if the Wiiu would have 50 or 20 million users it will not make alot of a difference and Nintendo will make the games anyway. I am actually pretty glad that Nintendo might "lose" 80% of its userbase because I dont want mainstreamers in my console community.
Just look at what the ps360 and the western devs with their mainstream cancer did to the industry and how all that shovelware shit made it almost impossible to find a good game on Wii when you are a person thats not up to date with what games are coming to the system etc. The more niche a console is the better.

Jazz if you don't care about numbers you chose an interesting community to join .....

yes..

And reasons:

The holiday will kick start wiiu with the casuals.. And Nintendo will be first to have vr.

E3 2014 will turn the table..

(remember last gen.. after a year ps3 was beaten by all consoles.. even ps2.. the one who looks in best shape, can loose momentum.. NOTHING is sure yet)
