No doubt Wii U is struggling, but Nintendo will face a huge loss. They don't really need to compete with PS4/Xbone to be successful. Nintendo appeals to its own kind of demographic and can live off that, at least for a good while.

Also, X and Bayonetta 2, those are pretty big. Fatal Frame is a system seller, just like ZombiU, Nintendo is probably realizing it right now. Here in Brazil, everybody that buys a WiiU gets ZombiU as well, it is praised as the best WiiU game in terms of gamepad use all around.

What do you mean discontinued? I can see them stop production around Nov-Dec 2015 and sell stock units for 2016 as I'm expecting a new console by 2016 at holidays.

I can also see Zelda HD been moved to the next hw and maybe a Wii U versión, same as TP.

They cancelled a well selling handheld in about the same span of time I don't see why the Wii U would be exempt considering its selling quite poorly. With that said they cancelled said handheld and replaced it with their greatest selling system of all time so who knows.
