Rockstar and Naughty Dog. Not only would this be huge, but it would greatly hurt Sony and Microsoft!

Square may be cheap right now as well. Not saying the other two are cheap, just that Square would be a good one to get as well.

Gta is published by Take Two and Naughty Dog is owned by Sony.

Don't think OP knows how business works, unless this is imagination, then they should buy Sega or EA obviously.
Sega for Japan, EA for everywhere else.

How does business work? Companies can buy other companies. Whats your point?

These companies need to be put for sale, before they can be bought, and its rare that a company would sell any assets including shares of itself at its market value since they want to make money of course. Furthemore, the company will need to have shares public enough that the company buying them could have a controlling stake in them, its not as simple as spending a cash reserve :|

I completely agree but these are mere wishes. Obviously you cant buy something not being sold.

The dream scenario would be Sega, but that's not happening. Besides, Nintendo already has a very good relationship with them.

A more realistic scenario is the acquisition of Capcom. They're doing very poorly financially. Nintendo nets exclusive rights to mature franchises that will sell hardware. Capcom nets financial stability allowing them to take more risks.

Street Fighter
Monster Hunter
Mega Man
Resident Evil
Devil May Cry
Dead Rising
Lost Planet

Holy crap! I forgot about Dead Rising. CAPCOM FOR THE WIN!

They should buy gamestop, then use it to only sell their products. Simples.

Fancy hearing me on an amateur podcast with friends gushing over one of my favourite games? https://youtu.be/1I7JfMMxhf8

Capcom, Konami, Namco Bandai, and Square Enix would all give them some great exclusive IPs, and I think with the resultant diversification in first-party IPs combined with a powerful, more conventional console next generation that's attractive to third parties would improve their lot in the home console market, especially in Japan. It would be a safer bet than making another low-specced gimmick-driven system.

Buying Sega or Platinum would be redundant since Nintendo has a good working relationship with those companies, who are now effectively de facto second parties to the Big N.

There's a lot of companies out there that aren't known yet they have a tremendous amount of talent, Retro Studios was like that before being bought by Ninty, and we're seeing companies like Big Red Button whom we only recently took notice of, but we obviously see the potential in a company with a lot of former Naughty Dog staff.

Rare and all their assets from Microsoft

They lost all their talent though.

yeah, but They still have tons of Excellent IP's that really belong on a Nintendo system, and would be better on anyway.

so buy Rares IP's, leave the rest.
