Forums - Gaming Discussion - Lords of the Fallen Dev: 1080p 'Tougher' on Xbox One Than PS4

I knew this was an ethomaz thread before I opened it lol. If I didn't know better, I'd say the people with PS4's are more insecure since they need to continually highlight this sort of thing.

Let's at least wait for E3 before judging what these machines can or cannot do. That's giving developers little enough time to showcase their talents. 1080p will be the norm for both.

I've got my eyes on this thread. Either post something worthwhile which adds to the discussion or don't post at all.

At the very least, do not post any baiting comments or attacks to the OP, please.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Surprising

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Lazy developer!

Yeap... I read a lot that since last year... devil devs.

Rather poor / underinvested.

I've never heard of this game! Am I alone?

Borderlands meets Dark Souls sounds AWESOME!

No surprise, and it will only get harder over time. Just like later in the PS2 XB gen XB version of games looked better, and ran better towards the end. PS4 will eventually play everything slightly better with slightly better stability, because it has slightly better hardware.

Duh. Will be easier over time.

I'm of the opinion that any previously and soon to be released games for the Xbox One that have not matched the 1080p resolution of the PS4 versions can be acheived over time.  But that paints the problem.  As developers continue to push the envelope, those particular future games will demand more from the current gen systems.  So while it will be easier to code a previosuly released Xbox One game to be 1080p if given more time to be released later in the future after its PS4 counterpart, It will still be harder for developers to encode Xbox One games to match the same resolution of the PS4 version when simutaneously released.

If boasting about having a stronger console makes someone "insecure", how would you describe the users that repeatedly post threads/comments explaining to us all how the hardware gap is going to be magically overcome by the latest in a series of delicious secret sauces? ^^

Fan-bases boast all the time about anything they can. Calling someones engagement is commonly practiced activities "insecure" is silly, especially towards the side currently winning ^^;

OT: I've been pretty impressed by what I've seen from LOTF thus far. Definitely looks like it needs some work (has that odd clumsiness some unfinished games seem to have), but it's certainly easy on the eyes.

So as developers report more and more of similar news, can we logicly conclude that developers are also more insecure when they say negative things of the Xbox One in comparison to the PS4?

I didn't read much about this game... what game it looks like? Kingdom of Amalur?
