False, It released when PS3 did, and people compared it to Resistance and guess what....Gears looked better. Slap in the face to those "T3h Cell" people. Glorious times.

Best in class is PR speak. It simply means "best Xbox 1 can do".



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

No point in debating, I hope they aim for 60 fps. But I wouldn't be surprised if they settle with 30 fps.

I never said something couldn't look great at 720p/60fps, it just couldn't have "best in class visuals". If your competitors game is 1080p/30fps, and yours is 720p/60fps, you ain't going to be best in class :P You'd certainly have smoother gameplay but this topic is about visuals, not gameplay.

I said what i said based purely on their statement.

this thread is beyond funny lol. the number of moderations is outstanding

anyways, we really cant tell much from this, only that microsoft/black tusk want really talented people to work on the next gears. which is something we already would have assumed.

What are Black Tusk's credentials? Seriously. Are they made of ex Epic or ex Bungie guys or why are we expecting the game to automatically be incredible?

I think Gears 3 was a reaaaaaaally good looking game.


There was very little on consoles that could come close to Gears 3 when it released. Was up there with the best.

Look forward to seeing what Black Tusk can do. A lot of talent in that team.

Yes but only Playstation consoles have a non-lethal radiation that penetrates your body while you sleep, most likely through the lungs. It slowly expands to your brain and the longer a PS console sits in your house, with every morning you grow a unhealthy bias towards them :P. Nintendo and Xbox have no such radiation.

Many with high will power can successfully repress it though your psoting history doesn't suggest this.

That's a myth i'm afraid. Your eyes don't see in frames, your perception of movement is based on the speed and complexity of whatever you are looking at. The faster/more complex it is, the more effective a higher frame rate is. For your brain to not be able to tell at all, there would have to be absolutely no natural motion blur, for which you need about 240fps. Or at least, anything that could blur at 240fps is moving faster than your brain can track, so past that is kinda pointless :P 

I'd definitely recommend watching the Hobbit in 24fps and 48fps :) Some people don't like the smooth effect created by 48fps (since they are used to the motion blur from 24fps), but it's still a pretty noticeable demonstration of the effect of a higher frame rate.

I don't get what you mean by your second statement though ._. Who ever said 720p was more cinematic lol?
