D'oh! I forgot to add something! The battle mode in MK64 didn't have a time limit nor did it have the point system!

And it was a free for all, MKWii forced you into red vs. blue.

We need to use some new screenshots for MK8 threads... It just seems like we use the same ones

They did all that because it was the better format for online play. They should definitely give us options in MK8 though, atleast for offline play/online play with friends.

Agreed. I could spend hours playing Baloon Battle on those two games. Barely touched it in the more recent entries.

 

It would be really nice if they introduced a new battle mode as well.

Maybe, just maybe, they'll make one that takes real advantage of the Gamepad!
