Sony expected more revenue from it though.

This was a good game, I still have it actually.
*Sony! Make another one!*
Bet with Adamblaziken:
I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
HylianSwordsman said: Nope, still a flop. Maybe even a major flop, if you compare it to the competition, Smash. Gameplay wise it sucks ass. I'd wanted a Playstation Smash clone since I knew what Smash was, and when it finally came out, I got this shit. It's a flop, and it deserved it. |
It's not a clone though. If it was a clone it probably would have been better.

Exactly. They tried to differentiate from Smash Bros., which is commendable, but the execution resulted in a much poorer gameplay mechanic.

Yeah, I'm not against differentiating it from Smash Bros., that's definitely a good thing, but they way they handled it just ruined it. This would actually have been better as a clone. All I meant by "Playstation Smash clone" was a fighting game with Playstation IPs instead of Nintendo, but mechanically, they'd be better clonging Smash there too or going with a traditional fighting game style, because this 3rd alternative was just bad. I'd say make another and fix it, but they went and soiled the PS All Stars name with that stupid mobile minigame collection.
