Now how many of those do you care about........Yeah the list gets immediately shorter after that, we dont talk about that though.....Ports of games on older platforms also dont get talked about......  Meanwhile ouya still has those 700+ games, better rush to get it.  Ouya > XBO/PS4 Confirmed for the 2nd time

Ok, personally I enjoyed... Shadowfall, AC4, Flower, Resogun, Contrast, Battlefield 4, Trine 2, Tomb Raider DE, Outlast, Don't Starve, GZ, Infamous SS. All exclusive or better on PS4 than Xbone. It's been a damn good launch.

I still don't get why the majority of posters on this site makes a distinction between indie and non indie games. Its ridiculous imo. Considering what has happened over the last couple of years, you would think we would know better.

Resogun is still the best game of the generation so far imo

And why would the PS4 be singled out in this comparison? Is the X1 not able to compete or something? We're mostly console gamers so PC games don't matter that much anyway.

Xbox One doesn't have many games either, but it has more retail exclusives than the PS4.

When have they touted that?

Most of the indies that are timed exclusive to PS4 are timed console exclusives. Like Transistor, which is coming to PC at the same time as PS4

You're right.  Thought they said exclusive debut back at E3 and everything was just delayed.  They said exclusive console debut.

Not really, there is no PC company directly competing with Sony, MS, or Nintendo for that matter. Espcially when SOE has games on PC as well. Its a lot more complicated then the competition between consoles

They don't have to be competing with a company to be competing the with the platform.  Regardless that the PC isn't a single entity, it still shares a large amount of games with Sony consoles, now more than ever with Sony pushing indies so hard.

If you'd like to say they're specifically competing with a gaming company though, then why not say Steam?  Most console retail games that are on PC are tied to Steam.  Would Sony rather just allow Steam to take your money or would they rather have your money?  It's been awhile, but Sony's been becoming more aggressive with digital sales could be to attempt to compete with PC's digital sales.  Right now Sony's running a sale where 30 games are being sold for $.99 called the PS Store Flash Sale for example.  Is this short sales name coincidence, or was Sony inspired by the Steam Flash Sale name?

Hooray Indie games!!!

And what exactly is wrong with that? Are AAA games automatically better than indie just because they have a larger budget? I've put hundreds of hours into games like Minecraft and Terraria. I'd love to see AAA games get as imaginative or creative as Papers Please.

What do you mean? I said Hooray for Indie games!!!!

Judging by this comment I don't think you're too happy about indie games.

I didn't buy a PS4 for a bunch of garbage Indie games (most are on PC/last gen) I want real high quality games. When PS4 gets some let me know.

And I honestly don't udnerstand the mentality. How can someone dismiss great games like Resogun or Starbound simply because they didn't cost $20m to develop? Some of the best games of the last generation were indie titles. I'm sure the same thing will be said for this generation. AAA games are fine and definitely have their place, but so much creativity and originality comes from indie titles that shouldn't be ignored.

Jim Sterling made a great video about why indie games are crucial to the PS4's success:

It's not all about lists. For people who don't have decent gaming PCs, or simply prefer playing on consoles, the PS4 has a great lineup because of all the indie support. Just because a game was originally on PC doesn't mean it's not worth putting on PS4.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Resogun. Don't know or heard of Starbound, but like I said before I didn't buy PS4 or Xbox One for Indie games, nice games to have but if that's all I wanted to play I would just use my PC.

@not bold: False

Dead Rising 3 Knack

Ryse Killzone: ShadowFall

Forza Infamous

Killer Instinct Resogun

@bold:

Steam gave away a free copy of Portal 2, if you purchased it on PS3. You cannot purchase a game on PSN to play on PC.

Steam's prices are a result of competition between PC vendors, since PSN, XBL, and NN aren't pc vendors, then they do not affect the price of those same games on steam.

They aren't directly competing, they just offer similar products.

Killer Instinct and Resogun aren't retail.  You forgot Kinect Rivals.

They also want your money.  If they try to get you to buy for their console meaning buy the game from them instead of any other console or PC if it's on there, then they're competing.  I'm also aware that Portal 2 on PC allowed you to get the Steam version for free and play with your Steam friends.  Valve obviously wants your money and will give away a free copy to get it.  Whether you buy it for PC or PS3, Valve is still getting your money.  Portal 2 is also on the 360 which Valve also tried to integrate Steam friends with the 360 version but Microsoft wouldn't allow them to do so.
