Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Is Titanfall alone, Worth buying an X1 for?

If I were to get it, it would be on PC. Doesn't seem worth $500 to me.

Ok so you're going on anecdotal evidence and not logic or facts. I got it. On the flip side myself and 2 of my brothers and a couple coworkers talk Titanfall all the time. In fact this weekend I learned the beauty of the Stryder smoke attack from one of them.

I guess our constant talk means the game hasn't died down a bit, awesome.

I gave quantitative evidence but you chose to ignore it, defend the game till bule I  the face idc not gonna make me lose sleep atnight. And again ppl will read what they wanna read

Nope if u have a 360 get it for that its an online game no single player mode

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

It's multiplatform, so no. Also, I don't think there is any game out there that alone makes any console worth buying (unless the console is dirt-cheap)

many gave it 10/10? meta shows 3/68 perfect reveiws

people constantly talk about it? idk but to me it doesnt have the same post buzz that COD4 and unchartd 2 had... idk

Try magazines or n4g. Plenty of 10/10 scores, and yes, many are buzzed about it. You do not agree? Also...metacritic is not the only place to go for reviews. But I would say, that even without everything I just said, the game has reviewed brilliantly. Going after me for mere technicalities is a little pointless isn't it? The main thing to get from this op...the game is really good and the X1`s top exclusive right now. Right or wrong?

Personally, I'd argue Killer Instinct is X1's top exclusive currently, but if fighting games aren't your thing then yeah.

Is it worth dropping $500 for by itself? Can't say it is. Not sure any game would be worth that, though.

If you've got a 360/PC, then get it for that. If you don't, then wait for a year or so for the X1 to get a price drop/some decent titles that aren't fighting games. Even if Titanfall was something ridiculous like an Okami level quality game, it wouldn't be worth an entire full price console purchase by itself.

I'm not even defending the game, your position is just so lulz I just wanted some clarification. Plus you speak in a factual manner about things we'd have no idea about, such as expectations for the game. I mean, "it's so obvious", right?

You talk about talk dying down as if it's some negative thing when it comes to Titanfall, but all games go through that. Before the game is out you have threads for every bit of news, previews, etc. Why would that continue after the game is out? Now people are just playing it. That's not a bad thing, doesn't mean "no one cares about TF anymore".

Adding to that, it seemed a majority of the talk about the game before release here was done by people who don't have the game nor intended to. Why would they continue talking? And you provided no quantitive evidence. You provided your best guess to support your theory, same as I did. I guess you'll just read what you wanna read.

Now stop kidding - there were never 25 threads per day and you tell us this is quantitive evidence? Come on, you are making a fool of yourself if you keep posting like this.

NO! NO! NO!

why????

Because you don't need an X1 to play it!

Never said it was negative nor did i say it didnt happen to most games, XBox Defense Force were the ones attacking me saying i was wrong you included but now your in agreement? looks like you are the one flip floping here not I. Ive already wasted too much time on this and it has become way off topic, will not respond on this matter again, however if you would like to discuss something more productive in a more consructive manner i am willin to converse.
