Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Is Titanfall alone, Worth buying an X1 for?

Yes it worth it:)

How about making up your own mind. Last time I checked "worth" was subjective.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

i would say buying a console for one or two games is quite silly. personally i bought my PS4 to play Killzone and multiplats on it now, but i also bought it as a future investment. i fully intend on playing my PS4 for the next 4,5,6 years or so. i didnt just buy it for one or two games.

It's pretty fun but got old quick to me. Fighting in a titan is alright, but it's about as fun as fighting in a vehicle in Battlefield 4. I think it's major downfall is the AI for enemies is bad (they're basically there to help peoples score who can't kill actual players), there is no single player campaign which hurts its overall value in my eyes, and there is a surprising lack of variety and customization for anything (weapons or mechs). Nothing blatantly says this is the next step, so for me it's nowhere near spending the money on a new console for.

One game is never worth buying a console for.

I am inclined to go with this.  Many people in this thread that have told you no have likely never touched Titanfall.

That said, if there is truly no other game on the X1 you're interested in, it might be best to wait.

There are other great titles like Plants Versus Zombies, Dead Rising and Forza - but if none of them appeal to you at all...

As others have said, it was a flash in the pan, not worth it as a stand alone reason to buy an X1.

No.

Nope, but ryse dr3 and quantum break might be. Titanfall not worth a purchase at all especially at full price.

I will permaban myself if the game releases in 2014.

in reference to KH3 release date

Only you can tell yourself that. All these people saying no or yes are giving nothing but an opinion, often times biased opinions(And looking at many of the people in this thread.....yeah) that has an agenda behind it. At the end of the day only you can tell yourself what you think.

Given that it is a multiplatform game and found on two other platforms, I'd say no. The X360 version holds up well and is surprisingly faithful to the versions on better hardware, so even less reason to purchase an XB1 solely for TF.
