Forums - Website Topics - Help us build up VG Chartz

If I wanted to stir things up, I could do a much better job. My "rudeness" is your perception. If it comes off that way, I apologize, but also you should quit worrying so much about someone's words. As an example, all this time that was being pointlessly directed towards responding to my "rudeness" you could have updated the Myspace Group, or even posted it so people could join it. People clicking ads to help out happens everywhere. It's not a rare occurrence.

This has been a really interesting read, but it's 4am here and I've got programming to do tomorrow. I'll name drop as much as I can, your doing great work here at VGcharts, and it's a nice place to hangout.

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

Never said the website was good. :P My main responsibilities are delegating jobs to my staff, maintaining our uptime, and insuring the games integrity and security. My expertise lies in with inspiring ideas from the staff and players and then working on incorporating them into active use in the game. I have little experience with web site management, or else I'd manage the website myself. One of my staff members, who's experienced with website management has been delegated that responsibility, however he has been busy the last few months with his band, work, and his relationship with his girlfriend. The website is really a minor part of the game, as the main part of the game is dealt through a telnet connection to my server to access the game. Most of the real work is actually in game, and if I had the time to learn about website management, I'd do any of the overhauling needed, and I'm aware it's not very great, myself.

I remember like 6 months ago when VGChartz was voted the official sales site of the Gamespot forums, that was a riot to read.

Yeah, this site should be much bigger than what it really is. I found this website when I got lost somewhere in the Internet. I think it needs more advertisements.

IMO, promoting the sales figures we have here are the best way to expand the audience. If some of the sites on gametab.com for instance, would link to our stories - we'll get heaps of hits. Or even get quoted on IGN as a source for figures. The longer the site goes, the greater the confidence people will have in it - and it will build from there. I will post a link or two tonight from my site(s). BTW - just tried Googling the site, and we came up as 4th - that's pretty good: google "worldwide console sales figures 360"
