Forums - Gaming Discussion - Resident Evil 7 Rumored to be Revealed at E3 - No exclusivity, projecting 5.6 million sales

Unless Capcom gets Shinji Mikami back on board (not going to happen), I'm not interested.

The series has gotten progessively worse with each new iteration since RE4.

I didn't touch Resident Evil 6. Apparently that's a good thing. I guess I won't touch Resident Evil 7 either.

People used to tell me that I shouldn't touch FF XIII.

By people you mean a vocal minority.

Everybody seems to be against Resident Evil 6: reviewers, long term fans, short term fans. You do still have a point though.

No there is definitely a vocal minority of RE6 fanatics. The thing they seem to rally around is the convoluted movement/action system. Seems like it really clicked with a few players, I say it's worth finding out. Get in a steam sale orsomething.

And Leon is still hot.

I'm excited for this. I'm probably one of the few that actually enjoyed RE6 (in fact I really enjoyed every RE game that came out 7th gen). I wouldn't mind if they kept the same formula for RE7 but I would definitely like the series to go back into real zombies rather than mutations.

I also loved the coop feature; wish RE Revalations had it.

Jeez, if there ever was a series that desperately needs to be rebooted it is this one. The last two games left such bad impressions on the minds of most gamers that it is actually an ideal time to do this.

But of course...Capcom.

There´s a rumor that´s easy to believe.

So, based on what Capcom said last year, they´re aware RE6 is not the way to go and will go back to a more survival horror gameplay for RE7.

think they have been saying that about every RE after 5

In my eyes resident evil, final fantasy are relics of past. They are not relevant in modern gaming. But capcom can try. Its harder to scare people now days. Unless they make something like the last of us; it wont work.

might be an average game, but its still a big name. XB1 will need all the exclusivity it can get just to stay on par with the PS4.

Am I the only one who notices the picture saying 'E3 2013'?

Resident Evil games are still a premier, tier one, alpha title, 5.6 million for a new entry and the first RE release for the xbox and PS4 will be a cakewalk

I've never really heard any praise for the games. Did you enjoy it?

I definitely give it a try when I get round to it.
