Also resulting in the top 2 fighting games in the 8th generations! Looking at game sales in the 7th gen, it decline very harshly compared back in the SNES/PS1/PS2 eras :-/

I wouldn't doubt it... Fighting games have not done too well in recent years when moving to the 7th gen.. Heck, I used to love street fighter but after I saw what happened to Chun Li's Legs in Street Fighter IV. I boycotted the whole entire series! Least Sakurai knows how to not fuck up Nintendo's characters

Still not bold. The competition is practically already dead. If there isn't some kind of BMUP Renaissance I don't see a problem for SSB beating the crippled competition.

Each version should sell at least 5m units, not particularly bold imo.

i think you should combine the tekken 6 numbers if you are combing wii u and 3ds version

despite low install base this would not be shocking. The golden age of Fightings is long gone and this genre has become very niche. SSB is really the only series in the genre with the power to move systems.

This is about expected really! Even with conservative numbers like 5m for Wii U, 8m for 3DS, that'd still be enough to make it the best selling fighter ever, when combining both versions anyway.
