erm... calm down.

My comments were CLEARLY about infamous ss v infamous 1 and 2 and NOTHING to do with titanfall.

ok?

Don't spin it. You were clearly praising Titanfall and downplaying Infamous. Btw you can't call any game average unless you play them. Infamous 1 was decent and 2 was good while Second Son was incredible (clearly the series needed the power of the PS4) so calling them average doesn't make it a universal truth.

luckily I played infamous 1.

You played the worst game in the series dude. 1 was decent, 2 was good and Second Son was incredible as I already said. Why don't you just accept that Infamous: Second Son was so good hence it sold well? I've played Titanfall a bit on my friend's Xbox One, and while it was fun, it isn't as great as some of you guys hyped it to be.

@underlined: i would believe that, if PS4 didnt have more games. but wait, it does.

less than half of them available now...  not to mention many of them arent AAA.

yes i know..... since i said so myself.

and the console has been out for four and a half months, and easily has a over a dozen AAA games. i dont understand the word "lacking" fits to descrive PS4 situation with AAA games.. if PS4 is lacking AAA games then so the XB1, but guess what, they arent.

I do think the statistics are beeing a bit generous with the X1, especially in europe, but time will tell.

well actually, yes, they both are.

I'm not debating his points, i'm just saying the NPD is gospel is getting old, since they do exactly the same as VGC,

Eventho they might be more accurate even they do adjustments

I wish people would knock this BS off.  NPD DOES NOT do exactly what VGC does.  NPD gets real, exact data from the majority of retailers and then estimates the smaller ones.  VGC gets very little info and goes off of historical patterns.  Sometimes it works, sometimes they are WAY off.  There is a reason companies use NPD and VGC adjusts their numbers to reflect NPD.

This site is great for what it is.  And it's older numbers are great for reference, as they have already been adjusted to be in line with official trackers and shipment numbers.  But let's quit trying to downplay NPD just because you don't like the numbers.

ehm so they both get a certain amount of data and they both extrapolate how is that different? AND PLEASE READ FOR ONCE I"M NOT DEBATING THAT IN ACCURACY NPD > VGC

VGC gets most of their data from polling customers and retailers, then adjusting their estimates looking at past trends.  Like I said, sometimes this works, sometimes they are way off.  NPD doesn't poll retailers, at least not the vast majority of them, they actually get to see the monthly sales data from these stores.

So much praise for Titanfall sales here by some. Didn't see these folks praise Wii Sports when it was topping the charts lol.

On a platform where you'd have to pay for it, the sales are quite disappointing.

Kinect Sports Rivals launched.

Yeah, somehow I don't see that as a possible reason for such a big rise.

I mean, One even got a 15% boost in the UK where Sports Rivals sold 5k

Lets be honest, whatever reason was given you would have said the same.

OT

Titanfall is showing great legs, Infamous isn't, as expected.

I still think ONE will win in the US and UK, the right price and the right games will ensure this.

Yes, let's make this about the console wars, even though his reasoning for disagreeing is sound.  SMH.

Why would X1 rise this week? Did it get price cuts that it didn't get before?

Kinect sports

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I wonder what caused Football Manager Classic 2014 on Vita to sell more this week than all the other 14 weeks it has been on sale combined.

... wait...
